Doe Deere founded the cosmetics company to prove that young people use makeup as a form of expression of oneself and freedom. She states that Lime Crime products give people the freedom to be and express themselves. She believes that beauty is what feels right at the moment rather than what looks good to others. She first registered Lime Crime as an eBay account in 2004 and later launched her company Lime Crime Cosmetics in 2008, with animal-friendly products. The company’s products are certified by PETA and Leaping Bunny as Vegan and Cruelty-free. The Lime Crime name was inspired by her favorite color and her long life dream to develop and launch new eyeshadows, lipsticks, and colored nail polish. The main goal of Lime Crime Cosmetics is to transform the makeup industry from the way people shop for makeup and how they wear it. The company sets new makeup trends collections for all occasions.

Doe Deere believes that e-commerce will be transitioned by the new generation Z, who are the people born after 1997. She believes that this generation of young people will change the future of online shopping as they have grown up with computers and internet. Online shopping has an advantage as one can compare different assortment of products, brands, and prices. She encourages employers and company leaders to listen to critics from people as well as customers as there is a lot to learn from constructive criticism.

Doe Deere mostly employs and supports minorities, women and helps those in need. She is a supporter of other businesses owned by women. She has been a speaker at public events such as Vegas Nay Stardust Tour and the PHAMExpo where she encourages people to find their voices and embrace who they really are as that is where ideas are born and natured.
